Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson Were Engaged for 9 Months Before Paternity Lawsuit - E! NEWS
New details on Tristan Thompson and Khloe Kardashians' complicated history have been revealed.
E! News has confirmed that Khloe rejected Tristan's proposal in December 2019, but the pair secretly got engaged around February 2021. They remained fiancés for nine months until news broke that Tristan was facing a paternity lawsuit after fathering a baby with Maralee Nichols.
Maralee welcomed the child, a baby boy named Theo, in December 2021. The following month, Tristan apologized to Khloe for having a child with Maralee and admitted the paternity test confirmed he's Theo's dad.
"Khloe, you don't deserve this," the NBA player wrote. "You don't deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don't deserve the way I have treated you over the years. My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you."
Another bombshell came roughly seven months after Theo was born: Multiple sources confirmed to E! News in July that Tristan and Khloe were expecting their second child together via surrogate. The pair also share 4-year-old daughter True.

Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert Los Angeles: Guest Stars, Set List - Ultimate Classic Rock
Tuesday night's Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert at Los Angeles' Kia Forum featured an eclectic lineup of musicians once again paying tribute to the late drummer.
Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters followed the same basic format as the earlier London tribute which took place earlier this month, sharing the stage with dozens of Hawkins' friends and musical heroes for a wide-ranging collection of cover songs before closing out the evening with their own headlining set.
"We started working on putting both of these shows together a long, long time ago," Grohl explained early in the evening, "because what we really wanted to do was to pay tribute to Taylor in a way that you could sort of spend some time in his musical mind. Just as with the show in London, we've all gathered here to celebrate this person that has touched our lives – whether from afar, or for all of his friends and family and loved ones, and musician buddies and heroes who are here tonight.
"If any of you ever had the blessing of spending time with Taylor," Grohl added, "you know that that dude could make you smile and dance and laugh and sing. So what we've done is we've brought an even crazier cast of characters for you tonight."

Marvel’s ‘Blade’ Loses Director Bassam Tariq (Exclusive) - Hollywood Reporter
Marvel Studios’ Blade will no longer have director Bassam Tariq at the helm.
Blade, which has a release date of Nov. 3, 2023, was gearing up to begin shooting in November in Atlanta. It is unclear how Tariq’s departure will impact the production start of the vampire action-thriller, which has Oscar winner Mahershala Ali in the title role, with the cast also including Delroy Lindo and Old actor Aaron Pierre.
“Due to continued shifts in our production schedule, Bassam is no longer moving forward as director of Blade but will remain an executive producer on the film,” Marvel said in a statement to THR. “We appreciate Bassam’s talent and all the work he’s done getting Blade to where it is.”
Related Stories
Tariq thanked Marvel in his own statement: “It’s been an honor working with the wonderful folks at Marvel. We were able to put together a killer cast and crew. Eager to see where the next director takes the film.”
Blade has seen its start of production shift at least once before, if not twice, and sources say the project has undergone several rounds of script rewrites. Beau DeMayo, who has worked on shows such as Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, The Witcher and its animated feature spinoff, as well as Marvel’s own Moon Knight, is the current writer. One source says the studio is already in search mode for a new director.
Blade has been one of Marvel’s more anticipated films since the studio announced the project to much fanfare at San Diego Comic-Con in 2019. At the very end of the Marvel panel, Ali made a surprise appearance and put on a baseball cap with the Blade logo. Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige later told THR that Ali had personally called him to express interest in playing the character.
Blade was created by writer Marv Wolfman and artist Gene Colan for 1973’s The Tomb of Dracula No. 10. He is a half-mortal, half-immortal who hunts vampires in order to avenge his mother, who was killed by a vampire as she gave birth to him. Wesley Snipes previously played the character in a trilogy released the early 2000s.
Tariq directed and co-wrote Mogul Mowgli, the well-regarded rap drama starring Riz Ahmed. He had been on Blade since the summer of 2021, working off an initial script from Watchmen scribe Stacy Osei-Kuffour.
Blade has already made his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut, at least partially. In 2021’s Eternals, Ali made a surprise voice cameo in a post-credits scene suggesting that Marvel is poised to explore a horror side to the MCU. The director departure comes as Marvel gears up to release its first horror-themed project, the Halloween special Werewolf By Night, which arrives on Disney+ Oct. 7.

Maisie Williams: I had a traumatic relationship with my dad - Page Six
Maisie Williams revealed she had a “traumatic” childhood, which was fueled by her father’s behavior.
“As a young child before the age of 8, I had a traumatic relationship with my dad,” the “Game of Thrones” actress said on Monday’s episode of “The Diary of a CEO” podcast.
“[That relationship] really consumed a lot of my childhood. Ever since I can remember I really struggled with sleeping, and I think a lot of the traumatic things that were happening, I didn’t realize that they were wrong,” she further described to host Steven Bartlett.
The former child actress, who is now 25, said she felt alienated from her peers while growing up because of her experiences.
“I would look around at other kids and wonder, ‘why don’t they seem to understand this pain or dread or fear? Where does this joy — when does that come for me?'”
During the interview, the “Pistols” star described her childhood self as someone who “felt very deeply in comparison to other people.”
While Williams did not go into detail about specific events surrounding her father because “it affects my siblings and my whole family,” she did share that her mother, Hilary Pitt Frances, was able to “escape” from her father when the TV star was just four months old.
“It was bad before that,” Williams, who is the youngest amongst her four siblings, noted.
Despite holding back on the details, she did describe the moment a teacher asked her about her home life, planting the seed in her head that something was wrong.
When she was just 8 years old, her teacher asked her if she was hungry, to which she said she was. When the teacher further inquired if she had had breakfast, she told her no because “we just didn’t have any breakfast.”
Williams ultimately revealed to the teacher that she and her siblings typically didn’t eat anything in the mornings.
As she broke into tears during the interview, Williams said, “They were asking the right questions. I had so many people who loved and cared about me so much, but I had never been asked the right questions where I could really say what was wrong.”
After the exchange with her teacher, Williams’ mother arrived at school with her siblings.
“It was really, really hard because I still wanted to fight and say, ‘No! These things aren’t bad! You’re trying to take me away from my dad and that’s wrong!’ Because I was like, indoctrinated in a way.”
Williams expressed that she felt her “whole world flipped on its head” that day, sharing that while it felt good to get away from her father, she knew it felt against everything she “knew to be true.”
Describing her family situation as somewhat of a “cult,” the actress expressed a shift in perspective on her father and childhood years later, and a desire to stop taking things that happened in her life personally.
“If I wasn’t there it would’ve been someone else. It’s not because something is wrong with me that these things happened when I was a child.”

Hugh Jackman to reprise Wolverine role in next 'Deadpool' film - CNN
Ryan Reynolds just broke some Hugh-ge news in the movie world.
The actor announced on Tuesday that Hugh Jackman will be reprising his role as Wolverine in the next “Deadpool” film, slated for September 6, 2024.
“Hey everyone, we’re extremely sad to have missed D23, but we’ve been working very hard on the next ‘Deadpool’ film for a good long while now,” Reynolds says in a video posted to Instagram, referencing the news-making Disney convention that took place earlier this month.
Adding that he wanted to make Deadpool’s first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (as this is the first “Deadpool” film to be produced following Disney’s purchase of 20th Century Fox) “special,” Reynolds said he sought out to “stay true to the character, find new depth, motivation, meaning.”
“Every ‘Deadpool’ needs to stand out and stand apart. It’s been an incredible challenge that has forced me to reach down deep inside. And I… have nothing,” he deadpanned. “Yeah, just completely empty up here. And terrifying. But we did have one idea.”
Enter Jackman – or a great body double – who Reynolds speaks to as the he walks in the background.
“Hey, Hugh, you want to play Wolverine one more time?” Reynolds asks.
“Yeah, sure, Ryan,” Jackman replies nonchalantly.
Deadpool was introduced in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” in 2009, but totally different than the smart-alecky take of the stand-alone movies. Wolverine was killed in the film “Logan,” so Jackman’s appearance will require some “We’re going to ignore lots of history” footwork, but they’re likely to have fun with it – just as they clearly did making the closing logo at the end of Reynold’s video.
Jackman and Reynolds have had a longstanding bromance that has included playfully teasing each other on social media.
The duo’s team up will mark the third film in the wildly successful “Deadpool” franchise, which included two films released in 2016 and 2018.
CNN’s Brian Lowry contributed to this report.

YouTuber Ned Fulmer fired from Try Guys, admits to cheating on wife - Page Six
Popular YouTube group the Try Guys fired its member Ned Fulmer as he admitted to cheating on his wife, Ariel Fulmer.
“Ned Fulmer is no longer working with The Try Guys,” read a post shared by the group’s Instagram page Tuesday.
“As a result of a thorough internal review, we do not see a path forward together. We thank you for your support as we navigate this change,” concluded the statement from remaining members Keith Habersberger, Zach Kornfeld and Eugene Lee Yang.
Less than an hour later, Ned, 35, addressed the news on his personal Instagram account.
“Family should have always been my priority, but I lost focus and had a consensual workplace relationship,” he wrote after being seen kissing Try Guys producer Alex Herring at a New York City bar.
“I’m sorry for any pain that my actions may have caused to the guys and the fans but most of all to Ariel,” he continued. “The only thing that matters right now is my marriage and my children, and that’s where I am going to focus my attention.”
Ariel, 36, with whom Ned shares sons Wesley, 4, and Finley, 1, also spoke out amid the scandal.
“Thanks to everyone who has reached out to me – it means a lot. Nothing is more important to me and Ned than our family, and all we request right now is that you respect our privacy for the sake of our kids,” she wrote on her Instagram.
News that Ned, who frequently spoke about how much he loved his wife, cheated on Ariel with Herring came to light after screenshots and photos were posted in a Reddit thread.
The posts seemingly showing Ned making out with Herring at East Village mainstay Niagara.
“so basically I went out to niagara the club last night and saw her making out with ned from the try guys, i have videos if needed,” an anonymous Reddit user direct-messaged Herring’s fiancé, Will Thayer.
“she was wearing a red dress idk if that helps,” the message continued.
In another DM, Thayer allegedly wrote back, “Okay thanks” followed by, “Just spoke to Ariel for an hour.”
Eagle-eyed fans of the YouTube series later noticed that Ned had not appeared in the group’s three most recent videos despite being featured in the promotional material for this season.
The Try Guys rose to prominence and soared to the top of YouTube’s trending page while working together at BuzzFeed.
The comedic foursome departed the media company in 2018 and have since amassed almost 8 million subscribers on the platform.

Brad Pitt Reportedly Has His Eye on This Newly-Single Supermodel & We Never Saw This Couple Coming - Yahoo Life
After Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie split up back in 2019, both have been seen attached to some pretty unexpected celebrities. (Yes, we’re talking about those Jolie and The Weeknd rumors, and Pitt being linked to Arrested Development alum Alia Shawkat!) But this new match may be the most unexpected one yet.
According to Page Six, Pitt has been out a few times with newly single model Emily Ratajkowski. We know; we didn’t expect that either.
More from SheKnows
Per the new report, they “have been out a few times together,” but “are not officially dating.” Another source said, “People have been speculating about this for a while. Brad is not dating anybody. They [Pitt and Ratajkowski] have been seen a couple [of] times together.” They cheekily added, “Stay tuned.”
Despite their 27-year age difference, it seems that the two have been getting cozy with one another. Somehow this couple makes perfect sense, and also, we literally never say this coming.
Click here to read the full article.
There were rumors back in Aug that the two were “secretly dating,” per OK!, but it seems like more of a casual thing due to Ratajkowski filing for divorce from her estranged husband Sebastian Bear-McClard.
Ratajkowski and Bear-McClard eloped back in 2018 after only dating for a few weeks, welcoming a son named Sylvester Apollo Bear in March 2021. However, in July 2022, she filed for divorce from him after he allegedly cheated on her multiple times.
So I guess we’ll have to do what the source says, and stay tuned.

Rihanna Confirmed for Super Bowl Halftime Show - Variety
Rihanna has slyly affirmed that she will be performing at the Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show in Feb. 2023. Roc Nation also officially confirmed the singer’s participation through a statement released on Sunday.
The singer shared a picture of an NFL-branded football on her Instagram. The post came amid reports that the singer was “in talks” to headline the next Halftime Show.
The game, which typically draws one of the biggest single TV audiences of the year, is scheduled to be played at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz. on Feb. 12.
“Rihanna is a generational talent, a woman of humble beginnings who has surpassed expectations at every turn,” said Jay-Z in the official announcement. “A person born on the small island of Barbados who became one of the most prominent artists ever. Self-made in business and entertainment.”
Although having Rihanna as a Halftime headliner is a logical conclusion on the Roc Nation front, the singer has not released an album since 2016. She has commented vaguely about two different albums in the years since (and been photographed coming in and out of recording studios), with one being described as a dancehall album. However, details remain scarce.
Regardless, the announcement was enough to rile up fans of the R&B singer, who hope her primetime appearance means a new album is finally on the way. Rihanna was also offered to headline the 2019 Halftime show but turned down the offer in a decision to show solidarity with Colin Kaepernick.
“We are thrilled to welcome Rihanna to the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show stage. Rihanna is a once-in-a-generation artist who has been a cultural force throughout her career,” Seth Dudowsky, NFL’s head of music, said in a statement. “We look forward to collaborating with Rihanna, Roc Nation and Apple Music to bring fans another historic Halftime Show performance.”
The Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show will be telecast and produced by DPS. Roc Nation and Jesse Collins serve as executive producers and Hamish Hamilton serves as director. Roc Nation is also serving as the strategic entertainment advisors of the live performance.
“Rihanna is an incredible recording artist who is a favorite for many millions of Apple Music customers around the world,” said Oliver Schusser, Apple’s vice president of Apple Music and Beats. “We’re excited to partner with Rihanna, Roc Nation and the NFL to bring music and sports fans a momentous show — what an incredible artist for the inaugural Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show.”
This is the first year that Apple Music will serve as a sponsor for the halftime show, replacing the NFL’s longtime partner Pepsi. The NFL announced the move last week at midnight, which had fans hypothesizing that Taylor Swift would be a potential headliner due to Swift’s connection to the hour (Her forthcoming album is called “Midnights”). That was later disproved by sources close to Swift, who spoke to both People and TMZ and alleged that, although she had been approached by the NFL in the past, the pop phenom had turned down the offer.
In May, Pepsi officially renounced its title as a halftime show sponsor, choosing to walk away from a decade-long association that transformed the event from a lineup of primarily rock musicians like Bruce Springsteen and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers in favor of a new group of artists aiming at the younger generations that advertisers and the NFL seek to court. The NFL was said to be seeking significantly higher annual payments for the sponsorship rights. According to a press release issued by the league, the contract with the software company is a multi-year deal.
Apple has in recent months shown a greater interest in sports. Its streaming platform has started new deals with Major League Baseball and Major League Soccer to show games to subscribers. Sports rights have long been the province of traditional media companies like Fox, Disney, Paramount Global and NBCUniversal, but technology companies like Apple and Amazon have made a bigger play for those rights as they seek to bring in consumers to their broadband subscription-video services. Amazon, for its part, is now a major NFL partner thanks to its control of rights to “Thursday Night Football.”
Earlier this year, the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show assembled a star-studded crew of artists including Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar. The performance achieved five Creative Arts Emmy nominations and won three Creative Arts Emmys, including outstanding live variety special — a first-ever for the Halftime show.
Past Super Bowl Halftime Show performances include the Weeknd, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Prince, Madonna and more.
Apple Music will be offering sneak peeks of its Halftime ideas via its social handle on TikTok, Instagram and Twitter.

Box Office: ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ Opening to Solid $21M Despite Offscreen Controversies - Hollywood Reporter
Warner Bros.’ high-profile drama Don’t Worry Darling is headed for a solid $21 million opening at the domestic box office after grossing more than $9.4 million Friday from 4,113 theaters, including $3.1 million in Thursday previews and special Imax screenings on Monday.
Directed by Olivia Wilde, Don’t Worry Darling was the most-talked-about entry at the Venice Film Festival, as it faced a number of controversies, including rumors of acrimony between Wilde and lead actress Florence Pugh. On Friday, Pugh shared a heartfelt message on Instagram praising the cast and crew with photos, including one with Wilde.
Related Stories
Don’t Worry Darling received a mediocre B- CinemaScore (Wilde’s last film, Booksmart, earned a B+). The B- could ding word-of-mouth. Ditto for tepid reviews. Wilde’s sophomore directing effort presently has a 35 percent critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes, dimming its awards chances and making it more difficult to attract older adults who are known for relying on reviews when deciding whether to make a trip to the cinema.
Tracking and Warner Bros. had projected a $17 million opening weekend. But based on advance ticket sales, exhibitors believed the film would fall between $20 million and $24 million (some think even higher). The movie cost a relatively modest $35 million to make, so it appears to be on the road to breaking even.
Analysts believe the movie’s biggest asset in terms of its box office performance is the legions of younger females devoted to Harry Styles, who stars opposite Pugh and Chris Pine in Wilde’s high-concept psychological thriller about a young couple residing in an idyllic, cult-like community.
They appear to be right. Females made up a massive 73 percent of Friday’s audience, while 67 percent of ticket buyers were between the ages of 18 and 34.
Hollywood insiders aren’t convinced that the general moviegoing public cares about the offscreen drama. If anything, the publicity increases awareness.
Don’t Worry Darling goes against the second weekend of The Woman King and the rerelease of Avatar, the top-earning film of all time.
From Sony and eOne, Woman King should place second with $10 million to $10.8 million, a good hold. The film earned $3 million on Friday from 3,765 cinemas.
The Avatar rerelease is expected to earn $9 million or more for the weekend after earning $3.3 million Friday from 1,860 theaters. Overseas, it started off with a hearty $11 million. To this day, the movie is the top-earning film of all time with more than $2.84 billion in ticket sales.
Director James Cameron and his producing partner Jon Landau are in the midst of prepping for the December release of the sequel Avatar: The Way of Water. Returning the original movie to cinemas is just one component of a sprawling marketing campaign that’s being orchestrated by Disney and 20th Century Studios.
Sept. 24, 8:15 a.m. Updated with additional details about Friday ticket sales and total weekend projections.
Sept. 23, 6:40 p.m. Updated to include a link to Pugh’s Instagram post promoting the film.

Vince Gilligan's New Paranormal Drama Will Star Better Call Saul Star, Premiere on Apple TV - IGN - IGN
Following the success of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, Apple TV+ has nabbed the rights to creator Vince Gilligan’s next TV series, giving it a two-season straight-to-series order. What’s more, Gilligan has cast Saul’s Rhea Seehorn to lead his next show.
As reported by Deadline, Gilligan’s next show will be a “blended, grounded genre drama” that was previously described as something closer to The Twilight Zone than his Southwest crime dramas.
Seehorn, who played attorney Kim Wexler in Better Call Saul, has been cast as the lead in Gilligan’s untitled series. Gilligan will also serve as showrunner and executive producer on the show.
Gilligan’s follow-up to Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul was highly-anticipated according to Deadline with 8-9 networks lining up to hear the pitch. The series is set to have a high budget and have “significant genre elements,” though Gilligan did not share specifics about the project.
However, he did reveal that Seehorn will play a traditional hero. “After 15 years, I figured it was time to take a break from writing antiheroes… and who’s more heroic than the brilliant Rhea Seehorn?” Gilligan says. “It’s long past time she had her own show, and I feel lucky to get to work on it with her.”
Seehorn earned an Emmy nomination for her portrayal of Kim Wexler in Better Call Saul, a top lawyer who eventually gets tangled up with Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman which will end up altering both their lives forever.
You can find out about her fate on the show in our Better Call Saul finale review. No other details about Gilligan’s show regarding premise, or release window were announced.

Especially in the racket that I’m in because you’re constantly away or they’re away and so it’s hard. It wasn’t easy on her. It wasn’t easy on me. It wasn’t easy on the kids.”
He continued, “So, yeah. The trajectory of that relationship — you play it out until it goes, one thing leads to another. So for whatever reason that ceases, it doesn’t stop the fact that you care for that person, and they’re the mother of your kids, and you’ll always know each other, and you’re always gonna be in each other’s lives because of those kids. You might as well make the best of it.”

How did Johnny Depp and Joelle Rich start dating? Page Six confirmed on September 22, 2022 that Depp and Rich are dating after his defamation trial with his ex-wife, Amber Heard. Page Six also reported that Rich, a lawyer who represented Depp in his 2020 defamation lawsuit against The Sun, was married when she met Depp but has since separated from her husband and is in the middle of a divorce. Rich and her husband share two children.
A source also told Us Weekly at the time that Depp and Rich’s relationship is the “real deal.” “Their chemistry is off the charts,” the insider said. “It’s serious between them. They are the real deal.” While Rich wasn’t one of the lawyers that represented Depp in his 2022 trial against Heard, she was present in the courtroom to “support” the actor, according to Us Weekly‘s source. “There was no professional obligation for her being there. It was personal,” the insider said, adding that Depp and Rich “discreetly” met up in hotels in the early stages of their relationship. Despite Us Weekly’s source’s claim Depp and Rich’s relationship is “serious,” an insider told People at the time that that’s not the case. “They are dating but it’s not serious,” the source said.
Depp and Rich’s relationship comes after Depp’s other lawyer, Camille Vasquez, who represented him in his trial with Heard, responded to rumors they were dating in an interview with People. “I guess it comes with the territory of being a woman just doing her job,” she said at the time. “It’s disappointing that certain outlets kind of ran with it or said that my interactions with Johnny—who is a friend and I’ve known and represented for four-and-a-half years now — that my interactions in any way were inappropriate or unprofessional. That’s disappointing to hear.” She continued, “I care very deeply about my clients, and we have obviously become close. But when I say we, I mean the entire team, and of course that includes Johnny. And, I’m Cuban and Colombian. I’m tactile. What do you want me to say? I hug everyone. And I’m not ashamed about that.”
Vasquez also told People that “my work is my love” and “when I love, I love really deeply.” She also added of Depp, “This man was fighting for his life and it broke my heart to see him day in and day out have to sit there and listen to the most horrific allegations being made against him. And if I could provide any bit of comfort, then of course I would do that, whether it’s holding his hand or letting him know that we were there and we were going to fight for him because he deserved it.” Vasquez also called romance rumors between her and Depp “sexist” and “unethical.” “It’s also an unethical charge being made. It’s sexist,” she said. “It’s unfortunate and it’s disappointing, but at the same time it kind of comes with the territory. I can’t say I was all that surprised.” A source also told People at the time that rumors of a relationship between Depp and Vasquez were “entirely, 100 percent, unequivocally untrue.”
Vasquez, for her part, is dating WeWork executive Edward Owen. She told People at the time that she was “very happy in my relationship” and emphasized it was “unethical for us to date our clients.”

Warning: The following contains spoilers for Wednesday’s Abbott Elementary premiere. Proceed at your own risk!
Janine was feeling pretty good about herself during Abbott Elementary‘s Season 2 premiere, and why wouldn’t she be? After all, the teacher had scored quite the coup: She got Philadelphia Flyers mascot Gritty to agree to make an appearance during the first week of school!
But alas, Janine’s break up with Tariq affected her more than she wanted to admit because she got the dates wrong, and the local celebrity showed up a week early during the teachers’ Development Day. It was a bummer for Janine, but a major win for creator and star Quinta Brunson, who was very excited about the guest star during a Television Critics Assoc. virtual press tour panel.

“He is very special to us. He is the biggest celeb cameo of all time,” Brunson enthused, before revealing that the mascot was supposed to appear during last season.
“We almost had Gritty for the pilot of our show. He’s been invested from the beginning, before you guys even knew about the show,” Brunson shared. “So it was wonderful to get this opportunity to have him be involved. Gritty is just as vital to the particular Philadelphian spirit of this show as the Eagles are or cheesesteak or pretzels, etc. So getting him was like a dream come true. I was over the moon. I was starstruck.”
Tyler James Williams — whose character Gregory at first didn’t get the appeal of the fuzzy mascot — called Gritty “a phenom that I feel like relates to everybody on a human level, a cellular level. That doesn’t need to be explained,” the actor said.
Added Lisa Ann Walter, who plays Melissa: “Gritty is undeniable. But I will say that, in person, he is even better. Because his improv is stellar. Gritty is a comedy genius.”
