The Cambridge kids are having a very busy Platinum Jubilee weekend. To celebrate their great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth, they made their Trooping the Colour carriage debut this year, stole the show on the Buckingham Palace balcony, and the two eldest—Prince George and Princess Charlotte—delighted in the Platinum Party at the Palace.
On the final day of the celebratory weekend, Kate Middleton and Prince William shared to their social media channels that the kids are staying involved in the festivities. "Baking cakes for the local community in Cardiff to enjoy at a Platinum Jubilee street party taking place today! We hope you like them!" they wrote on Twitter and Instagram, sharing seven photos of the kids and the Duchess of Cambridge baking in a kitchen:

In the photos, the three kids can be spotted standing on chairs to get a better view of the batter in a stand mixer. In one, Charlotte pours flour into a bowl as her older brother, George, looks on, and Louis is in the background, focused on the stand mixer. In other photos, Charlotte holds an egg over a bowl, and Louis is extremely focused on sifting flour.
In the sweetest pictures in the video, the three kids stand over the cupcakes as Kate holds frosting in a piping bag, and George, Charlotte, and Louis all grab sprinkles to decorate the cupcakes. The royal kids seem to be utterly delighted by the baking project, and Kate beams with joy at her children.
Plus, over the course of the photos, Princess Charlotte switched shirts from a pink polo to a navy and white striped shirt trimmed with colorful pompoms—perhaps her shirt was the casualty of a baking mess.
The Cambridge kitchen was decorated for the festive baking occasion, featuring Union Jack bunting in the background of all the photos and blue hydrangeas near the stovetop. The cupcake liners, too, featured the Union Jack flag, and the sprinkles appeared to be all red, white, and blue.
Today, some lucky attendees at the Platinum Jubilee street party in Cardiff will get to taste the handiwork of the royal kids. Platinum Jubilee street parties have been taking place around the United Kingdom to celebrate the Queen's jubilee. Per the Independent, ten million people across the nation are expected to partake in parties and other festivities to celebrate.
