It’s written in the stars.
Taylor Swift appeared to give a subtle nod to her longtime boyfriend Joe Alwyn in her new music video for “Lavender Haze,” which was released on Friday.
Eagle-eyed Swift fans were quick to notice a shot of a vinyl cover for another one of her songs, “Mastermind,” which showed two constellations on the cover.
One of the constellations shown is Sagittarius, — Swift’s astrological sign — and the other is Pisces, which is Alwyn’s sign.
“THE MASTERMIND VINYL IS THEIR ZODIAC SIGNS😭😭,” one fan tweeted.
“She’s such a romantic,” another fan wrote, adding the opening lyrics to “Mastermind,” “Once upon a time, the planets and the fates and all the stars aligned.”
Another wrote, “@taylorswift13 really is a mastermind for this one… she’s a sag and joe is a pisces!!! falling into the lavender haze as we speak @taylornation13.”
The “Anti-Hero” singer previously shared that “Lavender Haze” is inspired by her relationship with Alwyn.
“I guess, theoretically, when you’re in the ‘Lavender Haze,’ you’ll do anything to stay there and not let people bring you down off of that cloud,” she said in a video last year, adding that the duo has “had to dodge weird rumors, tabloid stuff” and they “just ignore it.”
Swift, 33, and Alwyn, 31, first sparked dating rumors in 2016 after they both attended a Kings of Leon concert, but it wasn’t until 2017 when a report claimed the couple had been dating for months.
The couple stayed under the radar before they were finally snapped holding hands in December of that year.
Since then, the pair have stayed out of the spotlight for the most part, a stark difference from Swift’s past relationships with men including Tom Hiddleston, Calvin Harris and Jake Gyllenhaal.
While Swift and Alwyn rarely comment on their relationship, the “Conversations with Friends” actor has been known to collaborate with Swift on a number of songs under the pseudonym William Bowery.
The pair teamed up recently again for “Sweet Nothing,” a ballad on Swift’s most recent album.
Engagement rumors have been swirling for years between the pair, with Alwyn cryptically addressing them in an April 2022 interview with WSJ. Magazine.
“I mean, the truth is, if the answer was yes, I wouldn’t say, and if the answer was no, I wouldn’t say,” he said.
